inception can be contributed to a visionary and entrepreneur named Robert Malek. The son of a Lebanese immigrant born in Baia da Guanabara in 1917, today know as Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He started his professional Carrier in 1938, when faith landed him in the British colony Gold Coast, West Africa today know as Ghana. By 1941, Robert Malek Ltd. was well established in the Gold Coast and was the biggest importer of finished goods and products into the region with its major supplies coming from England, despite the war that was raging in Europe.
By 1951, He had expanded his activities to include exclusive dealerships for British Leyland (Jaguar cars), General Motors, Renault, and Isuzu Motors maintaining a full service facilities for the cars and trucks he imported and sold. In 1959, Ghana became the first African country to claim its independence from its colonial masters and by 1970 Robert Malek Ltd had extended its reach globally with established affiliate offices in the US, Brazil, England, Germany, Lebanon and Japan. Import activities were mainly directed towards West African economies.
Today, Jupiter Resources, is run and managed by his descendents and continues the journey in his foot steps, laid down 68 years ago with the same commitment, determination, and global outlook.
